Milton Ulladulla District Music Council (MUD Music Council) is the brainchild of South Coast couple, Tina Broad and Hamish Richardson.

By day, Tina runs a social issues marketing company which manages a national music advocacy campaign for the Music Council of Australia. She is founder and director of 60-strong community choir, The Glorious MUDsingers, a member of local a cappella quartet, ‘milk + honey’ and the Ukulele group, Chooks on a Hot Tin Roof. Tina managed indie rock band, BROTHER, in the US, producing the band's benchmark CD, Urban Cave. She has been a session singer for many years. If there's a harmony to be found, she'll be there.

Co-founder of BROTHER, one of the most successful independent Australian acts in the USA, Hamish has spent the last two decades creating a musical reputation that’s outside the box. With BROTHER, his soundtrack credits include BARAKA, ER (including cameo appearance) and the Twilight Zone; tours with the Joe Walsh Band and The Best (Walsh, Jon Entwhistle, Keith Emerson, Skunk Baxter); a Rock n Roll Hall of Fame concert with Alicia Keys and Linkin Park; launch of Disney World's World Music Series with BROTHER, 'poster boy' and role model for Children With Diabetes (USA) and One Touch (USA). Music Director for Escape artFEST (Australia). Renowned as a charismatic live performer, Hamish has played most of the major music festivals in North America. With BROTHER, he was a featured performer on the LA Music Center’s acclaimed education program for schools. His light continues to shine as a multi-instrumentalist in his current Australian solo show series.

‘We’ve been inspired by the work of the Dandenong Ranges Music Council in Victoria. It’s a great model and has inspired us to have a go at something similar here on the South Coast. Our aim is to bring in workshop artists, coordinate music programs with local schools, present concerts by international artists, run festivals and generally pull together the musical resources of our community – all with the aim of giving our beloved local area an even more vibrant and varied cultural life.”
